Construction Testing Services, (CTS, www.cts-1.com) is looking to hire an Assistant Safety Manager to manage all aspects of our Corporate Safety Program.
Job Responsibilities
Use Health and Safety Manual to develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, ensure compliance with regulations, train employees, investigate incidents, and continuously improve safety practices.
Handle OSHA logs – incident reporting.
Conduct Regional Safety Meetings.
Qualifications
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong understanding of risk assessment, accident investigation, and safety auditing processes.
In-depth knowledge of transportation safety regulations (DOT, OSHA, etc.).
Ability to travel to various locations as needed to conduct in-person safety training sessions, audits, and inspections.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organization.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, occupational safety, or a related field (preferred).
4-5 years of experience in a safety management role within the transportation, logistics, or related industries.
OSHA and DOT Certification (required).
In-depth knowledge of transportation safety regulations (DOT, OSHA, etc.).
Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs.
Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CHST, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
