Job Description
We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Resident Engineer for a wastewater project located in Brooklyn. This role involves assisting the Resident Engineer in overseeing daily construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Resident Engineer in project oversight, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards.
- Monitor and enforce quality control measures through regular inspections and tests.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to address construction-related issues and meet project milestones.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress reports and inspection logs.
- Identify and resolve technical and operational challenges, providing innovative solutions.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Essential Skills
- EIT certification and on track to obtain PE, Professional Engineer.
- Experience in resident engineering, industrial construction, and wastewater treatment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience working on large Wastewater Treatment Plant or Industrial size construction projects.
- In Plant experience and NYCDEP project experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of Civil/MEP and Structural Foundations in WWTP or Industrial projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Work Environment
This position involves working on-site at the NYCDEP BWT WWTP project in a team consisting of inspectors, field engineers, construction managers, and Resident Engineers. Work hours are from 7 AM to 4 PM, five days a week. The role includes working from a field office located on-site. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $67.30/hr.
