Job Title: Assistant Manager Quality

Job Purpose

To lead, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) in line with AS9100, IATF 16949, and ISO 17025 (NABL) standards. The role is responsible for ensuring quality compliance across the organization, managing internal and external audits, driving corrective actions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

QMS Implementation & Compliance

• Establish and maintain QMS compliance with AS9100 / IATF 16949 and ISO 17025 (NABL).
• Maintain up-to-date, controlled documentation including Quality Manuals, SOPs, and process records.
• Ensure all customer-specific requirements and external certification needs (DGAQA, CEMILAC, ASQMS) are met.
• Liaise with certification and regulatory bodies regarding audits, inspections, and compliance issues.

Audit & Quality Assurance

• Develop and manage internal audit programs; ensure timely closure of nonconformities raised during audits.
• Conduct internal and process audits to verify QMS effectiveness.
• Ensure the deployment of new systems, procedures, and quality initiatives as needed.

Training & Capability Building

• Conduct training on QMS standards, procedures, and quality tools for cross-functional teams.
• Promote quality awareness and ownership across all departments.

Risk & Process Management

• Lead FMEA and risk assessment exercises across functions (design, manufacturing, supply chain).
• Use MSA (Measurement System Analysis) to validate inspection systems.
• Ensure application and understanding of PPAP and related documentation.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive quality improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, DMAIC, Pareto Analysis, and SPC.
• Embed a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience in a quality role within AS9100-certified aerospace or IATF 16949-certified automotive manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 / IATF 16949 and ISO 17025 (NABL); certified internal auditor preferred.
• Experience with Design House Approvals (CEMILAC) and vendor registration (DGAQA).
• Good understanding of quality and regulatory requirements in the aerospace and defense sector.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in organization-wide QMS deployment and 3+ years in risk-based audit planning.
• SAP working knowledge preferred (minimum 2 years).
