Assistant Property Manager - Affordable Housing

Salary: $60,000-$65,000
Are you passionate about providing stable housing and making a difference in your community? We're seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of a LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) property and ensure compliance, strong occupancy, and excellent resident service.
What You'll Do
* Support the daily operations of an affordable housing community.
* Ensure LIHTC compliance through accurate income certifications, recertifications, and file audits.
* Respond to resident questions, concerns, and maintenance requests professionally and promptly.
* Assist with leasing activities: application processing, move-ins, renewals, and unit inspections.
* Maintain organized and up-to-date resident files in accordance with compliance standards.
* Assist with rent collection, delinquency tracking, and daily bank deposits.
* Coordinate with vendors and maintenance staff to ensure property safety and appearance.
* Help prepare financial and compliance documentation for audits and internal review.
What We're Looking For
* 2+ years of property management experience, including 1+ year in affordable housing (LIHTC required).
* Solid knowledge of HUD regulations, income limits, and compliance standards.
* Experience with property management software such as Yardi or RealPage is a plus.
* Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
