Assistant Manager – Self-Storage Operations

You’ll play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining a high-performing facility, and supporting the company’s business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Engagement & Sales:
• Develop relationships with customers to understand their unique storage and supply needs.
• Effectively lease storage units and sell retail materials using a needs-based sales approach.
• Guide new customers through the rental process and support long-term clients with renewals in line with company policies.
• Facility Maintenance & Operations:
• Conduct regular walk-throughs to ensure the facility is clean, safe, and customer-ready.
• Perform general maintenance tasks, including landscaping, painting, custodial duties, and basic repairs.
• Self-identify and address facility needs, such as lock checks, vendor escorting, and waste removal.
• Administrative Duties:
• Process customer transactions using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system and prepare daily bank deposits.
• Manage customer accounts, handle inquiries, and resolve conflicts professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain detailed records and communicate potential issues or changes to the appropriate representative to minimize business impact.
  

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Regularly lift items up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as kneeling, crouching, climbing, and operating tools.
• Work in tight spaces like storage units and on elevated surfaces such as ladders and roofs.
• Be comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditions.
• Basic computer skills, with the ability to see and use a computer at an intermediate level.

• Valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to work Saturdays (we are closed on Sundays).
