In this role, you will provide crucial support to our Property Manager in the day-to-day oversight of a diverse portfolio of multifamily properties in the vibrant city of San Francisco. As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation and management of our properties. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including handling move-ins and move-outs, coordinating turnover work, managing vendor relationships, programming intercom systems, conducting building inspections, and carrying out other duties as assigned. It will be essential for you to possess excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
One crucial requirement for this role is having a car, as you will need to drive out to various properties within the San Francisco area. This ensures that you can effectively respond to maintenance requests, conduct property inspections, and address any urgent matters that may arise.

Responsibilities:
Maintain good tenant relations by promptly and completely responding to tenant requests and inquiries, including correspondence on matters relating to all properties.
Handle move-in and move-out functions in accordance with detailed Standard Operating Procedures.
Oversee turnover work, including painting, repairs, final cleaning, floor plans and photos, and lock changes. Manage time to completion to meet reporting goals set by the Asset Manager.
Assist the Maintenance Coordinator as needed to ensure efficient property maintenance and repairs.
Understand and ensure compliance with all governing regulations, codes, and laws, as well as other state and local authorities, to maintain legal and ethical property management practices.
Coordinate access for the Leasing Team for property showings, ensuring smooth scheduling and coordination.
Administer the day-to-day implementation of a standard operating procedural manual to ensure consistency and efficiency in property management processes.
Maintain records in a timely and organized manner, including lease agreements, maintenance requests, and tenant communications.
Attend and successfully complete advanced educational courses and seminars to stay updated on industry best practices and regulations. Actively participate in local professional-related activities to expand knowledge and network.
Perform other related duties as assigned to contribute to the overall success and efficiency of property management operations.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with tenants, vendors, and team members.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of property upkeep and presentation.
Proficiency in property management software and MS Office Suite.
Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for commuting to properties.
Knowledge of local and state housing laws and regulations is a plus.
