Description Immediate opening for a well-organized Assistant Project Manager (APM) with a demonstrated customer service background. Must be local and available to work in our Natick office. This position will allow a customer service professional to gain hands-on experience in project management and an opportunity to further expand their skills. Our firm manages the Social Security Administration’s (SSA’s) Verbatim Hearing Recorder (VHR) program. With success in our management of the program across the country, the company has been tasked by the Social Security Administration to manage additional locations requiring growth of our in-house team. An Assistant Project Manager is responsible for working with local SSA offices. The Assistant Project Manager oversees the hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and communications of the VHRs, who operate the digital recording systems to record the proceedings during Disability Appeal hearings held by SSA in their assigned regional offices. The Assistant Project Managers also serve as the liaison between the VHRs and SSA offices. Reporting to a Regional Project Manager, the Assistant Project Manager will need to be extremely well organized, able to work with multiple stakeholders; working directly with the SSA Hearing Office management and staff members as well as VHRs. The APM will work on tight deadlines, build rapid and continuing rapport with Social Security staff and VHRs by phone and email, exhibit excellent attention to detail, as well as being familiar with data management and understanding the impact of program metrics. To ensure success, the APM needs to have demonstrated interpersonal and organizational skills, the ability to multitask, an exemplary phone manner, and a desire to provide a high level of satisfaction for client and staff. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Manage the scheduling of VHRs Adhering to procedures to ensure the highest possible hearing coverage and satisfaction for the SSA and claimants Proactive real-time problem solving to maintain highest level of service Maintain active daily communications both by phone and email between VHRs and SSA offices Clear and concise communication to the VHRs and SSA Work with and support the Regional Project Manager to uphold all contractual requirements with the Social Security Administration Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a BA) Proficient with Microsoft Office applications Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated customer service and administrative responsibility (e.g., call center, customer support) Extremely detail-oriented and able to accurately resolve complex issues
