Job Title: Assistant HVAC Project Manager

Job Summary
We seek a detail-oriented and driven Assistant HVAC Project Manager to support our commercial HVAC operations in Sacramento, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a foundation in mechanical engineering, construction management, or HVAC systems who are eager to grow their project management skills. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior project managers, providing critical support in project planning, coordination, and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing all phases of commercial HVAC projects, from pre-construction through completion.
- Coordinate day-to-day operations with subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
- Maintain and organize project documentation using Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project tools.
- Track and update project schedules, deliverables, and progress reports to ensure timely completion.
- Monitor equipment and materials orders, ensuring accurate inventory and timely delivery to job sites.
- Participate in on-site meetings to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Support preparing and reviewing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project-related documents.
- Communicate project updates, potential delays, and issues to senior project managers and stakeholders.
- Assisted in resolving on-site challenges and promoted smooth workflow between teams.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience in HVAC project support or equivalent technical background in HVAC systems.
- Proficiency or familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project is a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
- Basic understanding of commercial HVAC systems, mechanical design, and construction workflows.
- Ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
- Must be local to Sacramento, CA, or able to commute or relocate reliably.
