Position Overview
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support the project management team in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. This role involves coordinating various aspects of the project, ensuring that it is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and scheduling of project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor project progress and report on project status, highlighting any potential issues or delays.
- Assist in managing project budgets, including tracking expenses and providing reports on financial performance.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Support the project manager in preparing project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and reports.
- Facilitate communication among all project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, assistant project management, or as a project engineer in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, including interiors, renovation, and tenant improvement.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
