Job Title: Assistant Project Manager
Job Description
This traveling position involves planning, directing, and coordinating activities for commercial construction projects, ensuring goals and objectives are met within prescribed time frames and funding parameters. The role also focuses on strengthening existing relationships and building new ones with clientele and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of commercial construction projects.
- Ensure project goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
- Strengthen existing relationships and build new ones with clientele and subcontractors.
- Coordinate change orders and project engineering tasks.
- Manage project coordination and ensure effective communication among stakeholders.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering.
- 1-2 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager in a commercial/industrial construction environment.
- Experience with ground-up projects valued at 10-15 million dollars.
- Strong project management and construction management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Vista, P6 Scheduling, Timberline estimating, and Procore.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and decision-making/problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proactive client focus.
- Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
Work Environment
This position requires willingness to travel throughout the Southeast, including Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Georgia. The work environment offers flexible schedules and a casual office dress code. Technologies used include Vista, P6 Scheduling, Timberline estimating, and Procore. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $45.67/hr.
