Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Project Manager in planning and executing construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Assist in preparing project submittals, including plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project team members to ensure smooth project progress.
- Assist in risk management, including identifying potential project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress, providing regular updates to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, promoting a culture of safety on every project.
- Contribute to the resolution of construction-related issues, using problem-solving skills to ensure project success.
- Participate in project meetings and site visits, providing input and feedback to enhance project outcomes.
- Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets and schedules.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on project management for a General Contractor.
- Proven experience with project submittals, including plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate diverse project teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address construction-related issues effectively and efficiently.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Commitment to safety, with knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations.
