Job Summary

The Assistant Project Manager reports to and is responsible for assisting the Project Manager and/or Senior Project Manager with the daily management, supervision, coordination, and successful completion of the project(s) to meet time and cost objectives with respect to contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration functions.

Assist Project Manager with coordination and project related activities such as preparing job start-up, secure properly executed subcontracts and purchase order agreements, request trade partner insurance certificates.

Monitor and expedite material delivery with the Superintendent.

Prepare statements of work (SOW) and schedule of values (SOV), review pay applications, maintain Record drawings, manage requests for information (RFIs).

Create, update, review, process, and maintain submittals. Provide photo documentation for project records.

Attend project related meetings, participate in owner meetings, coordinate change management directives, participate in weekly safety and subcontractor coordination meetings.

Review and update the project schedule, monitor and adjust the project budget, assist in project planning.

Assist team with closeout activities.

  • Preferred 4-year degree in an accredited construction related curriculum (BSCE, BSCM, BSAE, etc.) or experience equivalent to a 4-year degree.
  • Minimum of one to three years of experience at Project Engineer level, or at least three years of construction related experience.
  • Strong background with PC-based programs including scheduling and spreadsheet applications. These include Procore, Excel and Word, Outlook.
