About the Role
A respected and growing construction services provider is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join their rigging and heavy lift division. This role supports highly specialized operations within mission-critical data center projects, involving precision rigging, crane lift planning, and client coordination. The right candidate will join a tight-knit team that thrives on trust, precision, and collaboration in high-stakes environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed crane and rigging lift plans using industry-standard 2D/3D/LICCON planning software
- Draft technical site and lift drawings via AutoCAD for bid proposals and project execution
- Prepare and submit Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) and Method of Procedures (MOPs) for safety compliance and operational approvals
- Coordinate crane positioning logistics on-site and incorporate into project drawings
- Communicate with customers to gather requirements, confirm technical specs, and deliver lift plan documentation
- Assist with preparing and typing formal client proposals
- Maintain and distribute division dispatch sheets, ensuring up-to-date and accurate job tracking
- Support daily administrative and operational activities as directed by the rigging leadership team
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- At least 3 years of experience in project coordination or construction management, ideally involving crane, rigging, or industrial logistics
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities under tight timelines
- Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- High attention to detail, strong proofreading skills, and a professional demeanor
Preferred Traits
- Experience working with lift planning tools such as LICCON
- Familiarity with large-scale or industrial construction environments
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate across field and office teams
- Willingness to learn and grow into more senior project leadership roles
Physical and Compliance Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly, 50 lbs occasionally
- Comfortable navigating active construction sites and performing occasional field verifications
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S., and able to pass a background check and drug screening
- Demonstrated integrity and discretion when handling sensitive company information
