As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager in leading project teams in the development of multiple multi-family projects.
Job Responsibilities in assisting the Project Manager include, but are not limited to:
Assist the design team in the development of the construction drawings for assigned projects
Assist with permitting and plan review process, including coordination with local utility providers
Assist in developing the subcontractor and vendor list for assigned projects
Assist in the management of the bidding process, including initial cost estimate, bid solicitation, compilation of bids received, and preparation of the final cost estimate
Assist in preparing all contracts and purchase orders
Assist the Project Manager in monitoring assigned projects and the Project Superintendents in their daily tasks
When required or requested by the Project Manager, interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, government officials, equity investors and lenders
Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality, and safety standards.
Travel to jobsites as needed to coordinate the work on assigned projects as advised by the Project Manager. Travel will be in the Dallas/Fort Worth Job sites
Job Requirements
Minimum educational requirement is a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a construction management or engineering program
Demonstrate knowledge of construction safety and represent strong safety values
Exhibits effective verbal and written communication skills. Must be an effective communicator.
Utilize strong organizational skills
Experience in Sage, Procore , or similar Project Management software is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint & Excel
