Our client is a well-established Commercial General Contractor based in Charleston that works on a large variety of commercial and public projects. They need a strong Assistant Project Manager that has prior experience working for a commercial GC.

Title: Assistant Project Manager

Start Date: Flexible, but the sooner the better

Location: Charleston, SC

Pay Range: Depends on experience, but a rough range for the base is $75k-100k

Market Sector: Commercial

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress and resource allocation
• Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials and other project costs
• Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, other construction management to determine budget and timeline
• Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers
• Create schedules for workers and subcontractors
• Other standard duties

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working on commercial or public projects is a requirement
• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Managment, or equivalent work experience
• 2-5 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar required
• Prior experience working for a commercial general contractor required
