Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction and experience with tenant improvements, especially in financial institutions, big-box stores, Costco, and restaurants. This position will involve working on a variety of projects including ground-up construction, office buildings, and bank renovations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in planning and coordinating all aspects of the project, including budget, timeline, and resources.
- Communicate with construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project progress and quality standards.
- Review project plans and specifications to identify potential issues and make recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct on-site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project plans and safety regulations.
- Manage project documentation and maintain accurate records for all project activities.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to resolve any conflicts or issues that arise during the project.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Assist with budget management, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure project deadlines are met and address any delays or roadblocks as they arise.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Assistant Project Manager or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of tenant improvements and familiarity with financial institutions, big-box stores, Costco, and restaurants.
- Experience with ground-up construction, office buildings, and bank renovations is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
- Understanding of construction safety regulations and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
