About Us
Beyond Walls activates public space to strengthen communities. We are a non-profit placemaking organization that uses a creative lens to address community needs, believing that cities thrive when they are full of art, engaged stakeholders, and active spaces. Through public art and innovative design, we enhance the built environment, promote social engagement, and drive positive change in communities. To date, Beyond Walls has served over 13 communities, focusing on former industrial cities, many of which have majority minority populations. These areas often face unique challenges in revitalizing their built environments and downtowns. By activating public space through creative collaborations, we bring diverse perspectives and resources together to create lasting impact.
