Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manages/leads staff assigned to projects in the design and construction of new transportation infrastructure.
• Directs consultants and manages design and construction services contracts for assigned capital program project(s).
• Formulates technical solutions to satisfy project(s) objectives with new or established engineering applications.
• Establishes and maintains project schedules for assigned capital program project(s).
• Provides inter-departmental coordination to ensure that assigned capital program project(s) is being built in compliance with the affected user-department specifications while maintaining the overall project objectives.
• Provides inter-agency coordination to ensure that assigned capital program project(s) are designed and constructed in compliance with the guidelines and requirements of federal, state, regional and municipal regulatory agencies.
• Establishes and maintains project budgets
• Prepares status reports, updates and presentations

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

• Baccalaureate degree in Engineering, Architecture or related field and seven years of increasingly responsible experience in Project Management, design or construction of public transportation capital projects or railroad improvement projects.
• A master’s degree preferred in Engineering, Architecture, or related field can substitute for two (2) years of experience.
