Overview

AVIAN is searching for an Assistant Program Manager for Test & Evaluation (APMT&E) to support NAVAIR's Advanced Tactical Aircraft Protection Systems Program Office (PMA-272) . The Assistant Program Manager for Test & Evaluation will apply experience in Naval Flight Testing to properly represent the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Test and Evaluation (T&E) competency and advise the Program Manager on any T&E subject.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Assistant Program Manager for Test & Evaluation:

  • Performs tasks with little or no guidance
  • Has demonstrated knowledge in area of engineering expertise
  • Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, and design, develop, implement, test or evaluate military weapons systems
  • Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation
  • Applies engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management
  • Analyzes designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems
  • Leads the execution of complex tasks
  • Resource scheduling and tracking
  • Lead T&E WIPT
  • Read IEF to ensure Operational Test and Developmental Test are maximizing test events
  • Travel to support R&D efforts
  • RF experience

Qualifications

Requirements for Assistant Program Manager for Test & Evaluation:

  • Master of Science or Master of Arts degree in Engineering, Logistics, Science or a "Relevant Technical Discipline"
  • ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: A BS or BA degree and an additional four (4) years of experience can be substituted for an MS or MA degree.
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in an engineering position, three (3) of which must be directly related to Naval systems. Demonstrated knowledge in area of engineering expertise.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance

Our entire AVIAN workforce is required to comply with the Executive Order 14042 requiring employees to be fully vaccinated from COVID-19. An employee will be considered fully vaccinated when at least two (2) weeks have elapsed after the second dose in a two-dose COVID-19 series or at lease (2) weeks have elapsed after a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine.
