We're seeking a passionate and experienced educator to join our Paramedic program as full-time faculty. This role combines hands-on instruction, curriculum development, and clinical coordination to support student success and program excellence.

Examples of Duties
Essential Responsibilities:
* Teach and assess student learning across EMT and Paramedic courses.
* Develop, revise, and maintain program curriculum in collaboration with faculty and industry partners.
* Advise and mentor students, supporting academic success and professional growth.
* Coordinate clinical education, including site visits, student rotations, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge in EMS education, certification requirements, and instructional best practices.
* Prepare syllabi, instructional materials, and assessments aligned with course competencies.
* Lead or assist in faculty recruitment, orientation, and mentoring of adjunct instructors.
* Oversee program administration including budget, scheduling, handbook updates, and marketing materials.
* Facilitate program advisory meetings, maintain clinical site agreements, and ensure accurate student records.
* Serve on college committees and participate in faculty development and college-wide initiatives.
* Maintain strong communication with hospital-affiliated EMT program directors and EMS partners.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years of field experience as a Paramedic or Registered Nurse with critical care experience.
* Ability to teach all aspects of EMT and Paramedic curriculum.
* Strong knowledge of emergency medical services and interprofessional healthcare roles.
* Proficient in instructional technology and online learning tools.
* Effective communicator with strong advising, documentation, and organizational skills.
Required Certifications (must be current or obtained within one year):
* Illinois Paramedic certification or Registered Nursing license
* BLS (Instructor preferred)
* ACLS (Instructor preferred)
* PALS (Instructor preferred)
* ITLS and/or PHTLS (Instructor preferred)
* EMS Lead Instructor
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience teaching in a clinical, academic, or continuing education setting (community college preferred).
* Familiarity with Riverside Medical Center's paramedic program.
* Demonstrated commitment to student-centered teaching and lifelong learning.
Supplemental Information
This is a full-time, 11.5 month, tenure track position to begin in the Fall, 2025, semester.
