Job Duties

Caldwell University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Business Administration position in the School of Business and Computer Science. This is a full-time, tenure-track appointment beginning in Fall 2025. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative faculty in the Leadership and Management Department. Job duties and requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Teach on-campus and online introductory undergraduate through graduate-level courses in management, leadership, strategy, human resources, and other general business courses, as needed.
  • Develop and deliver engaging and effective instruction, utilizing innovative teaching methodologies such as experiential learning.
  • Advise undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Participate actively in curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation activities.
  • Engage in scholarly activity, including research, publications, presentations, and professional development.
  • Participate in Departmental, School, and University service (e.g., standing committees).
  • Contribute to the intellectual life of the University.
  • Support the Dominican Catholic liberal arts mission of Caldwell University.

Earned doctorate in Business Administration or a closely related field required. Candidates must have an interest in student research and a commitment to scholarly activity. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills needed. Must be able to work effectively with a diverse student body and faculty. Commitment to student success and professional development is also required.

Professional experience in a commercial environment is preferred. Teaching experience, online and on-site, using a learning management system also preferred. Interest in interdisciplinary research and collaborations and experience working with first-generation college students is highly desired.
