Caldwell University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Biology, starting Fall 2025.

Primary teaching responsibilities will include lecture and laboratory courses in microbiology and general biology. Other responsibilities include conducting research with undergraduate students, advising science majors, and assisting with departmental activities. Applicants must have a strong commitment to teach in a small university setting and the ability to work effectively with others in a collegial environment dedicated to student learning. Candidates must be willing to support the Dominican Catholic, liberal arts mission of the university.

Candidate Expectations And Responsibilities

• A Ph.D. in biology with a specialty in microbiology or a related discipline is required.
• Undergraduate teaching experience is highly desired.
• Experience using an on-line course management system such as Blackboard is expected.
• Participating in University-wide committee work.
• Continued scholarly growth and development, including collaboration with students.
• Participating in Department, School, and All-Faculty meetings, and activities including open houses, convocation, commencement, etc.
