Summary

WRTI 90.1 FM is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to join our Content and Programming team. The Assistant Production Manager supports the Director of Operations and Production to manage broadcast, digital audio, and video projects, including recording and editing audio and video. Responsible for sound production and audio engineering of speech, as well as educational and music-based programming in the studios and on location. Manage and execute post-production, including editing, mixing, processing, metadata, and final preparation for distribution of program elements. Essential Functions of Position * Edit, mix, and load into automation-produced programs and elements for broadcast * Record in-studio and on-location music performances and interviews * Edit audio and video stories independently as well as with Producers, as directed by the Director, Operations and Production * Establish and maintain audio and video archives for all content. Plus, relevant metadata * Support broadcast operations at the direction of the Director, Operations and Production * Engineer various studio sessions with different degrees of technicality and challenges. * Ensure continuity of service in absence of the Director, Operations and Production * Assist with maintaining and developing production elements used for broadcast * Performs other duties as assigned Required Education & Experience: At least three years of directly related experience in music and voice audio editing for broadcast. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Preferred: * Bachelor's degree in radio, TV, or production. * Public media experience Required skills and abilities: * Superior attention to detail * Excellent skills in Adobe Audition and Pro Tools (both preferred) * Excellent skills with analog and digital audio equipment * Broadcast experience a plus * Strong writing and editing skills a plus * Excellent teamwork and communication skills * Excellent skills in live voice and music recording and mixing * Proficient in Adobe Premiere and Microsoft Office Suite of products * Knowledge of video production and editing Note: This description incorporates the most typical duties performed.
