Guptill Human Resources Mater Dei Catholic High School [email protected] Position Summary Assistant Principal of Academics in a Dual Language Immersion Program: 50/50 English-Spanish Assistant Principal Responsibilities * Assist the principal in developing and maintaining an effective educational program consistent with the philosophy, policies, and goals of the school. * Assist the principal in the overall administration of the school. * Enforce school policies and regulations. * Support the principal in the collaborative development, implementation and ongoing refinement of the school's plan through WCEA/WASC. * Assist the principal in the transformation of the school culture into a results-oriented collaborative learning community. * Ensure the implementation of the Diocesan curriculum. * Serve as principal in the absence of the principal. * Assist in scheduling of classes and extracurricular activities, students, teachers, and classes. * Assist in the reporting and monitoring of student attendance. * Assist in the maintaining of discipline throughout the student body. * Assist with the Admission process, conducting tours, testing/evaluations. * Assist teachers in evaluating methods and materials and developing effective learning plans and classroom management techniques. * Maintain and model high standards of professionalism. * Manage and communicate all standardized assessment information to parents and teachers. * Assist the principal in the supervision of school personnel for the purpose of monitoring performance, providing professional growth opportunities and achieving overall objectives of the school's curriculum. * Participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and gathering information in order to lead Professional Development sessions. * Act as an instructional coach to support teachers in lesson design and curriculum implementation. * Assist in any other areas as determined by the principal as needed. Requirements * Have a minimum of two years of successful administrative experience. * Have a master's degree in educational administration and/or California Administrative * Credential Preferred but not required. * Have a minimum of 5 years' experience teaching in a dual language school. * Demonstrate leadership ability in past or present educational experiences.
