Summary

Job Profile:

We are looking for an energetic communications professional to join the DSCI team. At this role, you will work closely with various functions such as the policy, events, membership, technical, and research teams to improve all our communications and outreach initiatives within and outside the company.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide inputs, build content, plan outreach, and provide editorial support to DSCI programs, initiatives and publications.
  • Creation, promotion and management of public information campaigns related to cyber security and privacy awareness.
  • Support in the development of whitepapers, technical guides, point-of-view papers and write articles, blogs for further outreach of DSCI publications.
  • Proofread content and reports before publication to ensure high-quality and error-free copy.
  • Supervise the content and design of DSCI website and keep it updated with the latest information.
  • Draft communication for senior management to share with key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with respective team members for the implementation of various ongoing programs, flagship events, workshops that DSCI undertakes throughout the year.
  • Execute marketing plan for various launch activities from conceptualizing and design to execution and post-launch outreach.
  • Drive digital marketing campaigns for various DSCI projects and initiatives.
  • Analyse social media and web metrics to optimize digital marketing strategies.
  • Liaise with different digital agencies to create designed content and collaterals.
  • Manage DSCI’s social media presence on various channels.
  • Work with key internal role-players to brainstorm innovative content ideas, in line with the company’s strategy and support various brand initiatives.


Required Skills:

  • Master’s/bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in communications, marcom or a similar role of which 2 years working in an industry role with external stakeholder communication would be preferable.
  • Basic understanding of Cyber Security and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently on their own initiatives.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools such as AdWords, paid marketing, etc.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to deliver creatively and innovation in projects and deliverables.
  • Should be able to prioritise, manage projects and plan campaigns.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders and agencies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with editing capabilities.
  • Must possess a keen eye for detail to ensure error-free copies.



Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of communications tools such as Mailchimp, SurveyMonkey, Canva would be good to have.
  • Knowledge of photo editing and video editing tools would be an added advantage.
  • Prior experience of Content Management Systems such as WordPress, Blogger, etc.
  • B. Tech in Computer Science with communications experience would be preferable.
