About The Role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager or Manager to join our Risk Advisory Services (RAS) team. In this client facing role, you’ll be responsible for planning, developing and delivering major assurance and advisory engagements - including performance audit, compliance audit and related contract performance advisory assignments. You’ll work closely with clients, support team development, and play a key role in project execution and leadership alongside Partners.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Assist in building and mentoring a team of highly skilled contract performance audit, internal audit and risk advisory staff.
  • Manage a varied client portfolio across a range of industry sectors, with a focus on risk, controls and assurance.
  • Supervise and undertake fieldwork and prepare written reports or deliverables of a high quality and standard, adhering to budgets and timelines.
  • Scoping and delivering projects that adhere to the firm's professional delivery standards to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Interacting with clients and stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions on a variety of internal audit and contract assurance projects.
  • Drive the development of new business solutions and continuous improvement of current practices and tools.
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to enhance practice growth and client relationships.

About You

  • High level of experience in a similar Internal Audit / Contract Performance Audit in practice or industry, with strong skills in process mapping, risk and control identification, and developing/reviewing audit scopes and statements of work.
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting, law, or business, with post-graduate professional credentials (CA, CPA, CIA).
  • Strong analytical, report writing, and negotiation skills, with proven ability to present to Senior Management, Boards, and ARC’s.
  • Exposure to latest better practices and frameworks in risk management, project management, records management, procurement/contract management, governance, legislative compliance etc.
  • Australian driver’s licence and vehicle access (as travel outside of Brisbane Metro may be required)
