Job Summary
We’re looking for an Assistant Manager – Life & Health Claims Operations to support our team in Singapore. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to robust claims operations by ensuring quality, compliance, and system enhancements in the life and health insurance space. Key Responsibilities
- Participate in medical and life plan product reviews and contribute requirements for system changes.
- Represent claims as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during product implementations and internal discussions.
- Act as the liaison between Claims and Business/Technical Analysts to translate business needs into system solutions.
- Manage production support tasks such as data patching, configuration, testing, and ongoing system impact assessments.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across claims operations, including governance and peer reviews.
- Coordinate documentation control, compliance reporting, and financial tracking for the Claims team.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders including reinsurers, auditors, CPF Board, healthcare providers, and financial consultants.
- Conduct internal claims briefings, stakeholder workshops, and provide training to financial advisors when needed.
- Take on special projects or administrative tasks as delegated by Section Manager or Head of Function.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Life & Health Claims, including Integrated Shield policies.
- Strong understanding of policy terms and the ability to interpret complex contract language accurately.
- Skilled in handling complex claims calculations with a detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
- Proven ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Analytical, organized, and proactive in suggesting operational enhancements.
- A customer-centric attitude with a commitment to service excellence.
