Summary

The Assistant Manager, IT Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing and aligning the Global design, implementation, and maintenance of an Inchcape’s IT infrastructure. This role involves providing technical expertise, leadership, and strategic guidance to ensure the availability, stability, and security of the infrastructure systems. The Assistant Manager, IT Infrastructure collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to develop and execute infrastructure initiatives that align with the Inchcape’s objectives, to improve quality, cost-efficiency, and high reliability infrastructure services across APAC, 24/7.


Job description:


  • Infrastructure Strategy: Review Global initiatives & Regional business requirement, to provide a comprehensive infrastructure strategy, considering the Region/Market’s current and future technology needs, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Review the Global/Regional designs, of the network architecture, on-prem servers, Azure infra services, storage systems, virtualization, cloud services, and security systems.
  • Systems Maintenance and Monitoring: Review Global Operations proactive monitoring and maintenance processes to ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of infrastructure systems. Respond promptly to incidents and assist in troubleshooting infrastructure-related issues where required.
  • Security and Compliance: Partner our Security Team to implement and maintain appropriate security measures and protocols to protect the organization's infrastructure from internal and external threats. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate and select infrastructure solutions, negotiate contracts, and manage ongoing relationships.
  • Capacity Planning: Assess infrastructure capacity requirements and plan for future growth, making/supporting Global recommendations for infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and optimizations.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Partner the Global NCI Team to review the disaster recovery plans and procedures to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity in the event of a system failure or disaster.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures. Prepare regular reports on infrastructure performance, capacity, and security.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus
  • At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in cloud (AWS, Assure) and infrastructure technologies
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and network infrastructure management
  • Hands-on technical experience in domains such as server administration, virtualization, networking, and telephony solutions (Avaya, Cisco, Genesys)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical details clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze technical proposals and assess their feasibility and alignment with business objectives
  • Comfortable with working flexibly, including night calls, and planning work hours independently
