Summary

To manage and control the company’s credit function by minimizing financial risk, ensuring timely collections, assessing credit worthiness of customers, and maintaining healthy cash flow to support business operations.

Credit Management

  • Evaluate creditworthiness of existing and new customers through financial analysis, credit reports, and risk assessments.
  • Establish credit limits and payment terms in consultation with senior management.

Monitor customer accounts to ensure compliance with credit terms

Receivables & Collection Management

  • Proactively manage and follow up on accounts receivables to ensure timely payments.
  • Coordinate with the sales and operations teams to resolve disputes related to billing or deliveries.
  • Identify and flag high-risk accounts and take necessary escalation steps
  • Develop and implement collection strategies to reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
  • Negotiate payment plans or settlements with customers when necessary.

Issue legal notices, and coordinate with legal department for recovery actions

Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare regular aging reports, collection dashboards, and bad debt forecasts for management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support external and internal audits related to receivables and credit functions
  • Conduct reconciliation and manage related escalations

Coordinate with sales and operations for price increase and renewal of contracts as and when required

Process Improvement

  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance credit control and collections efficiency.

Leverage ERP and SAP financial systems for automation and tracking.
