TEAM

Woven by Toyota is developing autonomous driving (AD) and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) for Toyota's mass-produced vehicles. The development of AD/ADAS systems is a large-scale project involving numerous related companies and spans multiple years. The mission of the JP Business Strategy Team is to facilitate the smooth progression of AD/ADAS development by managing budgets, adjusting resources, and planning long-term resource allocation. The team is responsible for a wide range of tasks, including the establishment of budget management systems, joint management schemes and contracts with related companies.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The field of AD/ADAS is constantly evolving due to changing market needs and competitive dynamics. You understand team directions and roles, work proactively under the support of your manager, and collaborate with stakeholders effectively. Additionally, our work involves communication with hundreds of engineers, so we are seeking individuals who are cheerful, sincere, customer-focused, and service-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage resources and budgets for the entire AD/ADAS development. Propose and build management methods to meet the objectives, and operate them
• Propose, build, and operate operational policies to facilitate smooth collaboration projects with other companies (including contract-related tasks and infrastructure support like account management)
• Design the development framework and collaboration schemes with other companies
• Analyze, identify issues, and propose solutions for efficient global resource allocation, including U.S. offices
• Propose work efficiency and productivity improvement, including existing tasks within the business-related teams
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Data analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform effective resource and budget management
• Proficiency in spreadsheet software such as Excel (can perform complex functions) and Google Sheets
• Business-level proficiency in both written and verbal Japanese and English
  
  

NICE TO HAVES

• Basic programming skills (e.g., GAS/Python/VBA)
• Basic knowledge of accounting and finance
• Over three years of practical experience in the automotive or related industries
• Up-to-date knowledge of the automotive industry and technological trends
• Experience in competitive analysis and market research
