In addition to skilled nursing and therapeutic care, we work with each individual to create original and varied activity-based programs tailored to accommodate varied interests and abilities. Primary Responsibilities Under the direction of the Activity Director, the Activity Aide will assist in the planning, coordinating and implementing of activity programs on a daily basis to meet the individual residents’ needs and interests. Essential Job Functions 1. Assists and/or lead assigned group or 1:1 activity programs. 2. Assists residents to and from activity programs. 3. Reports any changes in resident behavior, safety hazards, or procedural difficulties, to the Activity Coordinator. 4. Distributes monthly activity calendars to residents. Post calendars on designated display boards. 5. Assists with an evaluation of each resident according to their backgrounds, activity interests, abilities, physical limitations and needs for meaningful activity programs. 6. Maintains an up-to-date attendance chart on each resident. 7. Transfers and files all residents’ attendance forms at the end of each month into a designated location. 8. Develops and displays thematic/holiday decorations throughout the facility. 9. Assists in developing and maintaining an active volunteer program which involves screening, training and supervision of volunteers. 10. Assists with maintaining current organizational systems or special needs lists (i.e. Catholic, Buddhist, birthdays, special group, etc.).
