We are in the search of an Assistant General Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a self-directed leader with an expertise of restaurant operational practices and procedures.
Position Summary
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is a full-time position that is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Front of House (FOH) operation at the direction of and in the absence of the General Manager (GM). The AGM at times will be required to be the sole manager on duty and will be responsible for successfully supervising both FOH and Back of House (BOH) staff. Will operate within a 13-period budget and be accountable in part for Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for the Bar, FOH Labor, beverage complaints and sales. The AGM ensures that all beverages are sourced, stored, prepared, and presented for service following recipes and guidelines created with and by the Corporate Beverage Director. Will work closely with the management team and the Corporate Beverage Director to ensure that the location successfully meet’s expectations as defined on the Aloha report.
Position Expectations
Reports accurate weekly food cost numbers to accounting.
Manage bar inventory by conducting a weekly inventory audit.
Supports in hiring, training, certifying, and reviewing all FOH positions following Human Resources and company guidelines as directed by the GM.
Manage the FOH team and liaise with BOH team while creating a positive work environment.
Take full responsibility for the Restaurant during allocated floor shifts to create exceptional guest experiences. Be a host and communicate with guests during service.
Prepare FOH shift schedules; reviewed by the GM.
Ensures staff completes all checklists and line checks as needed. Provides feedback on editing checklists to the GM.
Proactive in self development and growth.
Accountable for the smooth and successful daily operations of the FOH, ensuring that the location successfully meets expectations as defined on the stores Aloha report (KPIs).

Desired Experience & Attributes
5+ years’ experience in the field (not required but preferred)
Degree in Hospitality or industry experience equivalent (not required)
Serve Safe certified, Tips Certified (preferred)
Poses complete knowledge of a standard P&L and Balance Sheet
Knowledge of and implementation of all local, state and federal sanitation laws
Participates in personal development and research of best management practices
Strong planning and organizational skills
Available for weekend and holiday hours of operation
Plans workload efficiently, effectively, and respectfully
Able to foster and maintain positive team culture
Adept at influence management, balancing the needs of internal stakeholders
Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, team-oriented environment
Strong customer service orientation, with a willingness to share knowledge and care about others
Benefits
Paid Time Off: We offer two, 40 hour, weeks of PTO, to be accrued over the course of a year. You are able to use your PTO to cover absences due to sickness, vacation, holidays, etc.
Health insurance: Eligible the first day of the month after 30 days of employment. We offer Medical, Dental, Vision. HF pays at least 50% of the premium for all offered plans for the employee. Family and dependent coverage is paid fully by the employee.
Short-term disability: Is provided by the HOUSEpitality Family for eligible full-time crew, effective on the first day of the month following attainment of full-time eligibility status, at no cost to the employee
Life Insurance: Employees enrolled in the short-term disability are also enrolled in the group life insurance program, at no cost to the employee, with the same effective coverage date as the short-term disability. Current benefit amount is $10,000 with option for supplemental packages.
401K: We will match a percentage based on company annual fiscal profits. Eligible first day of the month after 30 days of promotional start date.
