Position Summary
- 12-Month Administrator at the District level
- Reports to the Executive Director for Teaching and Learning - Innovation and Instruction
Qualifications
- Type 75, PRIN, or GADM endorsement and prior educational leadership experience.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Coordinate the consideration, adoption, implementation, troubleshooting and day-to-day support of digital textbooks, novels and other instructional technology resources.
- Coordinate the process of identifying and collecting Open Educational Resources for targeted courses with the goal of converting instructional resources to OER.
- Coordinate the preparation and management of the district instructional technology budget.
- Manages all compliance for Student Online Privacy Protection Act and maintains all agreements.
- Coordinate with instructional leaders to provide online summer learning opportunities for students.
- Manage the learning management system (Schoology) by serving as the system administrator in charge of managing groups and disseminating information to facilitate teacher utilization of the various features of the system.
- Manage the online learning platform (Edgenuity), resolve instructional problems associated with the delivery of online learning, and delegate technical problems to appropriate IT staff.
- Support the district-level management of NWEA-MAP testing by coordinating the initial roster upload in the fall and subsequent roster updates each term, setting the testing windows, and adding teachers.
- Assists in the development and implementation of the district professional learning program.
- Facilitates the application and approval of College and Career Pathway Endorsements (CCPEs)
- Leads, budgets, coordinates, monitors, reports, and serves as Point-of Contact of the Career Technical Education Incentive Grant (CTEIG) grant in support of the curriculum in our CTE courses.
- Leads, budgets, coordinates, monitors, reports, and serves as Point-of Contact of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement grant in support of the curriculum in our CTE courses.
- Manages and maintains all required documentation, including budgets, for Three Circles Grant, Agriculture Incentive Grant, Education Career Pathway Grant and Project Lead The Way Grants.
- Engages and recruits community volunteers to support career exploration and work-based learning opportunities for students in CTE programs.
- Collaborates with College of DuPage for articulation of dual credit Career Technical Education courses.
- Facilitates the dissemination, negotiation and collection of work-based learning employer agreements to support career development in CTE courses.
- Work with the Executive Director for Teaching and Learning, Innovation and Instruction, and the Executive Director for Teaching and Learning, Curriculum and Pathways to advance district instructional gInnovate and collaborate with the Teaching and Learning Department, Assistant Principals of Instruction and Department Chairs to leverage instructional technology and CTE to enhance student learning.
- Serve on district wide committees as needed.
- Will function as a Cabinet-level team member working toward meeting the goals and initiatives of Glenbard Township High School District 87.
