The ACT Emergency Services Agency is seeking four (4) detail orientated procurement specialists, especially If you are confident in providing advice on, and ensuring compliance with the procurement lifecycle in accordance with relevant legislation. Two of the roles are permanent positions, and we are also offering two temporary positions.

As one of the four Assistant Director, Procurement you will provide guidance and assistance to business units to ensure the timely and cost-efficient procurement and supply of consumables, goods, vehicles and equipment while ensuring compliance relevant policies and procedures.
Each of these roles also assist with other activities such as procurement related research and analysis, procurement strategy and execution, sourcing and purchasing activities, and assisting with the implementation and ongoing performance management of contracts.
Key Duties Include
- Provide high level procurement advice to business units to ensure compliance and delivering strategic outcomes while assisting in improvement and best practice.
- Identify opportunities for strategic procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, ACT Government and Directorate policy frameworks for procurement and projects.
- Assist in the provision of high quality and timely reporting, briefs and advice to senior management, executives and business units.
Eligibility/Other Requirements
- Certificate IV or Diploma Procurement and Contract Management is highly desirable.
- A minimum of a ‘C’ Class Driver’s licence is desirable.
