About the position

The Assistant Director of Operations oversees and directs the strategic planning for the Operations department. This role ensures compliance with Brand standards across the network and leads the Business Consultant team. Responsibilities include working with franchisees to uphold brand standards and implement best practices to enhance business growth. The role involves managing compliance issues and facilitating communication with franchisees and internal teams.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Director of Operations should demonstrate a strong proficiency in using G-Suite products, effectively utilizing these tools in daily operations. This role requires prior experience in a support or coordinator capacity, evidencing an ability to lead teams and manage operational responsibilities effectively. The candidate must exhibit superior organizational skills, enabling them to manage tasks efficiently and maintain structured processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with teams and interactions with franchisees. Being self-directed, the candidate should work independently, showcasing initiative and leadership with minimal supervision. They need to be adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards maintained. Training proficiency is also key, as the role involves facilitating various learning activities, including classes, seminars, and webinars. Maintaining discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive corporate and business matters is crucial. Additionally, the candidate should have over five years of experience managing support teams within a medium or large franchise company, underscoring their expertise in operational oversight and strategic planning.

Essential Functions

  • Support the department’s goals in alignment with the organization's mission, strategic objectives, and business plans.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with team members, franchise centers, and other departments through effective communication.
  • Monitor and support franchisees on the "Watchlist," ensuring regular contact and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Business Consultants to develop and track action plans for franchises.
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings with Business Consultants to review plans and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures and maintain updated documentation systems.
  • Lead support efforts for franchise centers, coordinating with inter-department teams on needs and resources.
  • Help develop business plans for franchisees, covering sales, marketing, financial reviews, and training.
  • Support the Director of Strategic Operations in various tasks, including hiring, training, and performance reviews.
  • Engage directly with franchise centers to identify their needs and support their goals.
  • Manage operations budget and resources effectively.


What We Need

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, financial or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing support teams in a medium or large franchise company.


Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
  • Must reside in the Dallas metroplex or relocate within 90 days of employment.
