Summary

The Mansion Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, a family-owned 62-bed Skilled Nursing Facility is seeking an RN Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team. Position Summary The ADON serves as the assistant to the DNS and supports all responsibilities required of the DNS role. Our facility philosophy is that the DNS and the ADON are a collaborating team. The ADON assists the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Nursing Department to assure quality care and resident safety so that each resident maintains the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. Given the size of our facility, the Infection Previonsist (IP) responsibilities are encompassed into the ADON role. The IP role is to understand and practice within the regulatory requirements of the federal infection control legislation as required in F880. Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements Active unencumbered RN License in the State of RI Certificate from CDC qualifying to be Infection Preventionist(can be obtained after hire) CPR certification Two (2) years' geriatric nursing experience preferred, preferably in post-acute care DNS, ADON, or other nursing management experience preferred Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Positive, friendly communication style with staff Value being a team member Benefits: Competitive wages commensurate with experience Flexible online scheduling Medical, Dental and Life Insurance 401(k) available Paid vacation, sick days and holidays Paid training and orientation Paid breaks, with free meals offered Willing to provide ICP training Essential Functions Assist the DNS in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and directing the Nursing department Assume the functions and responsibilities of DNS during any absence Perform functions of a staff nurse when necessary Plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate facility-wide systems for the prevention and control of infections of residents, staff, and visitors Maintain our high quality infection prevention and control program (IPCP) to prevent, recognize, and control the onset and spread of infections Oversee infection control responsibilities Serve as a resource for staff, residents, families, and volunteers regarding: COVID-19, infectious diseases, outbreaks, and infection control practices Monitor usage and burn rate of personal protective equipment (PPE) Regularly review CDC and State Health websites for Infection Control Guidance for Healthcare Professionals for current information and ensure associates and residents are updated when guidance changes Complete on-going monitoring of Healthcare Acquired Infections and Community Acquired Infections including antibiotic use, micro report, line listings, and trending of infections Serve as a QAPI Committee member, with the responsibility of reporting on infection prevention and control elements Conduct outbreak tracking, symptom monitoring, investigation, and reporting in accordance with local health and state agency as required by law Initiate follow-up on associate/resident exposures to communicable diseases Coordinate the development, review, and revision of the Annual Infection Prevention and Control Plan Ensure reporting is completed in NHSN in accordance with F885 An Equal Opportunity Employer Job Type: Full-time Pay: $89,500.00 - $93,600.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday On call Weekends as needed License/Certification: RN License (Required) Work Location: In person
