We are a small, independent, community oriented and family operated facility seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing. Recruiting experts tell us that the average tenure of similiar position is about two years; our facility has had three in the last four decades.
We’ve maintained Medicare’s five star quality rating for 18 of the last 20 years. Relative to the regional average, our staffing ratios are higher and turnover is lower. We have never used agency staff. These outcomes are unique because our focus is unique, and the Assistant Director of Nursing position is integral to this approach. Responsibilities are consistent with those at other facilities, but our expectations are somewhat different.
Responsibilities include:
· Leadership and supervision of all staff
· Direction of clinical care
· Compliance with state and federal regulation
- Direct care as required
Expectations include:
· Relentless commitment to the delivery of high quality care and willingness to assume accountability for the operation of the facility
· Ability to embrace an environment of full autonomy absent any supervision by additional staff members or corporate oversight/mandates/directives
· Prioritization of dignity, compassion and professionalism and a recognition that quality is different than compliance
· A devotion to developing and fostering substantive, supportive, empathetic relationships with our residents and their families.
· A talent for the efficient use of time and energy
Experience and qualifications
· An active RN or LPN license
· Previous experience as a ADON is not necessary. The position is likely appropriate for an experienced ADON seeking more autonomy to focus on delivery of care. It is also appropriate for an aspiring ADON interested in inheriting and maintaining a legacy of high quality health care with the support of an established team. It is not appropriate for people who view meetings as a goal and paperwork as an outcome.

· Benefits are negotiable
· You will create your own schedule with the option of a four day week.
