CHANDLER UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT JOB DESCRIPTION CLASSIFICATION: ADMINISTRATOR JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES CALENDAR: 2611A SALARY: ADMINISTRATOR SALARY SCHEDULE - GRADE 126 * Notification of Nondiscrimination * Notificación de Non Discriminación Job Goal: The Assistant Director of Talent Management supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategic talent management initiatives that attract, retain, and develop high-quality educators and staff, ultimately enhancing student success and district performance. This role collaborates with district leaders to design and deliver programs that foster a culture of growth, innovation, and excellence. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field (required). * Three to five years of experience in Human Resources and/or recruitment/onboarding prefrred * Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to employment and certification * Proven leadership experience * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data to various stakeholders. * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. * Strong organizational and project management skills. * Ability to obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. Core Job Functions: * Assist in developing and implementing recruitment strategies to attract top talent, including teacher, administrator, and support staff positions. * Develop and maintain relationships with local universities, colleges, and other talent pipelines. * Collaborate with district leaders to identify talent development needs and design programs to address those needs. * Analyze talent management data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. * Prepare reports and presentations for district leaders and stakeholders on talent management metrics and initiatives. Maintain dashboards to track key talent management metrics, retention, turnover and diversity. * Collaborate with district departments to align talent management strategies with district goals and initiatives. * Analyze and report on talent management metrics, such as employee retention, turnover, and diversity. * Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to employment and talent management, as well as compliance with USCIS, E-Verify regulations. * Oversee Teacher in Residence program, foster relationships with candidates and universities. * Oversee compliance with USCIS regulations for international employees, including J-1, J-2, H-1B, OPT, and Green Card applications, work authorization cards. * Manage and maintain the district's applicant tracking system, Talent Ed. * Develop, coordinate, and track completion of orientation and training programs for all new employees. Maintain orientation presentations. * Develop, maintain, and update job descriptions and job specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. * Work with Salary Compensation Analyst, district leadership and/or conduct market research and analyze industry trends to determine competitive salary ranges. * Manage district recruitment budget. * Oversee recruitment efforts using various channels, including local and national websites, newspapers, publications, colleges/universities, social media platforms, annual recruitment fair, in-state recruitment fairs and work with universities on new graduate recruiting (Handshake). * Oversee all levels of volunteers, including background and criminal history checks. * Oversee compliance with fingerprint clearance card requirements for all staff. * Oversee Arizona Department of Education teacher certification compliance, approval of PD hours for certification renewal, and verify teaching experience for certified staff. * Be flexible and perform other duties relating to general job function as assigned by supervisors. * Follow district policies as outlined. * Perform all duties in a safe and prudent manner as directed by supervisors.
