Responsibilities
This position is for Academic Services & Operations (AS&O), Office of Provost (PVO).
Support the Senior Director of Academic Services and Operations to coordinate projects or programmes relating to the integration of the Academic Services and Operations group.
Drive the delivery, review, development, and integration of academic services to enhance undergraduate and postgraduate student experience.
Draft and implement student-related administrative policies/programmes and student data management and integration initiatives.
Collaborate with relevant offices and committees to propose policies and guidelines on operational teaching-related matters, such as the management of student study spaces.
Work with the relevant departments to provide regular reports to senior management on specific university targets such as on global exposure.
Coordinate the collection of data and draft regular reports for the Ministry of Education, Board of Trustees, and other internal and external stakeholders as required for matters related to academic services and operations.
Contribute to the review, evaluation, and improvement of UG and PG student activities under the remit of offices reporting to the Senior Director of Academic Services and Operations.
Interface with the Ministry of Education and/or other agencies on matters relating to academic services and operations.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor's Degree.
8 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Prior project or programme management experience.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving capabilities.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
Ability to adapt to changes, continuously learn, and be able to work as a team or independently.
Prior experience in a similar role in a higher education or policy/programme management setting will be an advantage.

Candidates who do not possess the stipulated qualifications but have relevant work experience may still apply. Remuneration and appointment terms shall commensurate with qualifications and experience. SMU reserves the right to modify the appointment terms where necessary.
