In this role you will be responsible for:
Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Prepare monthly variance and trend analyses.
  • Support budget preparation and forecasting processes.

General Ledger and Account Reconciliation

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Review posted journal entries for reasonability.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing activities.

Compliance and Internal Controls

  • Ensure financial practices comply with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Assist with maintenance and documentation of internal controls and procedures.

Accounts Payable/Receivable Support

  • Oversee AP/AR processes, providing guidance where necessary on invoice processing, payments, and collections.
  • Oversee reconciliation of vendor and customer accounts.

Audit Support

  • Prepare schedules and audit working papers as needed.
  • Respond to auditor inquiries and assist with implementation of audit recommendations.

System and Process Improvement

  • Assist with implementation and upgrades of accounting software and systems.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to accounting procedures and workflows.

Other

  • Complete special projects or analysis as assigned.



Requirements

Qualifications:

  • CPA designated or working towards completing experience requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of senior accounting or finance experience (e.g., accountant, financial analyst, or auditor)
  • Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ADP)
  • Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
