Established Silicon Valley based investment firm with both financial investments and real estate is expanding and seeks an Assistant Controller to work closely with the Controller and VP to manage the corporate accounting team over financial close/GL, and operational accounting including AP, AR and Payroll. This role offer good work life balance and flexibility, and will be working onsite 3 days per week.

Requirements:

• 10+ years experience in both Big 4 Audit/public accounting and industry corporate accounting experience is required.
• Strong technical accounting experience including lease accounting experience is required.
• Prior experience managing a team of at least 3 and the ability to develop junior team members.
• Experience with assessing and strengthening internal controls.
• Strong experience with using systems to automate and create customized reports.
• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field of study.
• Advanced Excel skills required (Pivot Tables, V & X-Lookups, Sum Ifs, etc.)
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
