Description We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Euclid, Ohio. In this role, you will provide essential accounting support across multiple sites, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to critical operational tasks while collaborating with a dedicated team. Responsibilities: - Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. - Investigate capital expenditure transactions by analyzing purchase order receipts and related documentation. - Manage specific aspects of the month-end close process, including inventory adjustments, labor cost analysis, and job cost closures. - Provide accounting support across three sites, each with revenues ranging from $10 to $50 million. - Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze and present financial data effectively. - Work within Plex and Visual systems to process and review financial information, with a preference for Plex experience. - Collaborate with shared services teams to ensure smooth operations regarding accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash management. - Support auditing processes and ensure adherence to internal financial policies and standards. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting roles, preferably at the assistant controller level. - Strong proficiency in balance sheet account reconciliation and month-end close activities. - Familiarity with capital asset management and purchase order analysis. - Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting. - Experience working with ERP systems such as Plex or Visual is highly desirable. - Ability to manage financial operations across multiple locations. - Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
