You are the Assistant Controller that will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and contributing to the strategic decision-making process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Manage the monthly financial close process ensuring revenues and costs are properly recorded and journal entries and account reconciliations are prepared and reviewed timely
Prepare and review financial statements, prepare variance analysis to budget and prior performance, identify trends and areas for improvement
Assist in the enhancement and delivery of management reporting packages including key operating metrics to support strategic decision making
Help design and implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and controls across the company
Complete monthly tax reporting requirements and ensure timely filings.
Assist in the annual budget preparation
Assist with annual external audits, providing supporting data and addressing any audit findings in a timely and effective manner.
Collaborates with other departments and maintain cooperative and strong relationships
Establish and develop strong internal controls, streamline existing processes, and develop continuous improvement measures.
Meets company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures
Create ad-hoc reporting and work on special projects as required
Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Training and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA preferred
5+ years’ of accounting experience
Manufacturing or distribution experience a plus
Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI reporting experience a plus
Knowledge, Abilities And Skills
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written with employees across all levels within the company
Strong technical understanding of GAAP
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint)
Understanding of manufacturing process and inventory managmenet

Salary: $110,000- $130,000 per year ( depends on experience level)
