Key Responsibilities

As the Assistant Controller, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial health and integrity of the organization. Your responsibilities will include:



Financial Reporting & Analysis:

o Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

o Provide meaningful variance analysis and insights to support leadership in data-driven decision-making.


System Management & Optimization:

o Oversee the daily operations of the financial systems, with a focus on maximizing NetSuite functionality.

o Collaborate with internal teams to enhance workflows and maintain accurate financial data across systems.


Compliance & Internal Controls:

o Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards, including accounting principles (GAAP).

o Support audit preparation and implement best practices for financial governance.


Team Collaboration & Leadership:

o Work closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, HR, and Executive Leadership to align financial practices with business strategy.

o Mentor junior finance staff and contribute to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.


Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:


Education & Experience:

o A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.

o 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.


Technical Skills:

o Proficiency with NetSuite is required.

o Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with financial reporting systems.


Key Competencies:

o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.

o Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

o A CPA designation is considered a strong asset.
