Rapidly growing DSO is seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Controller to play a pivotal roe in overseeing financial operations.

This position will manage and support the accounting department, ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations and optimizing internal controls. This is a high-impact role that requires a hands on leader who is comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing training and performance evaluations.
• Manage general ledger reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
• Ensure internal controls are maintained and improved to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and provide financial insights for strategic decision-making.
• Assist in audit coordination, working with external auditors to ensure audit readiness.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and investment strategies to support growth.
• Collaborate with operational and clinical teams to enhance financial processes and reporting.
• Maintain the company's ERP system and manage financial report setup.
• Assist with accounts payable, receivable, payroll functions, and provider compensation calculations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in accounting, ideally within a multi-location healthcare or dental organization.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting best practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a dynamic environment.
