Our Legal Services Department provides legal support to all business units of the Club and associated companies. The Club’s diverse business operations require the legal team to help the business units deal with complex matters by identifying risks and complications, guiding the business units around those obstacles whilst preserving the Club’s reputation and integrity.
The Job
You will:
Work with various Business Units (BUs) to ensure they obtain all their operating licenses in HK in a timely manner and assist with the application process.
Assist BUs in reviewing their license applications and submission to governmental authorities in HK.
Liaise and prepare responses to regulators / authorities in relation to license applications in HK.
Maintain a record of the Club’s licenses and providing status reports on the licenses in HK.
Manage the Club’s DMS including responding to BUs’ enquiries regarding the DMS, providing regular trainings, monitor the use of the DMS and working with IT for any system upgrades and issues.
Assist with compliance training including preparation of training materials and conducting trainings.
Provide support to Mainland Legal and Compliance (in HK) in arranging notarization work.
Provide secretarial and administrative support to Mainland Legal and Compliance (in HK), such as handling bills of legal fees from external law firms, arranging meeting, photocopying, printing & scanning and making travel arrangements, etc.
Assist HK and China team with the preparation of meeting materials and meeting minutes.
Handle ad hoc assignments for HK and China team when necessary.
About You
You should:
Degree in law, finance, accounting, business or other related disciplines
At least 5 years of experience in:
managing licenses for large conglomerates. Experience in applying for operational licenses such as liquor licenses, business registration licenses, club licenses would be an advantage.
managing and using document management systems.
providing administrative support.
Experience in license management
Experience in using document management systems
Experience in conducting trainings and presentations
High computer literacy: proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Good understanding of the Club’s operations is a plus
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
