Qualifications: Education/Certification: * Master's degree from accredited university * Valid Texas teaching certificate Special Knowledge/Skills: * Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation * Knowledge of assessment principles and design * Knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements of state assessment * Knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements of state and federal accountability * Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners * Ability to communicate technical and complex assessment data and concepts to varied audiences, including school administrators, teachers, parents and students * Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience Preferred * Administration of local and state assessment programs * Coordination of state and federal accountability programs Major Responsibilities and Duties: * Coordinate the review, development, and revision of all procedures related to the administration of local and state assessments * Work cooperatively with directors and campus principals in developing and supervising the procedures for administering local and state assessments * Plans, improves, and oversees local and state assessments * Coordinate the ordering and use of all local and state assessment materials * Ensure district wide compliance with all federal and state accountability requirements * Provide technical assistance to district and school administrators in the areas of federal, state and local accountability measures * Support the district and individual school efforts in the implementation of state and federal accountability requirements * Provide evaluative findings (including student achievement data) for the review of curriculum and instruction program effectiveness to improve student performance * Assist in the preparation of the budget and administration of the budget for supplies, equipment, and facilities in the area of student assessment * Provide technical assistance to district and school administrators for all aspects of program monitoring and interventions related to federal and state accountability measures * Examines campus, district and state assessment data, including STAAR, TELPAS, PSAT, SAT, ACT and AP, focusing on trends with regard to teachers, teams, programs or processes and demographics, to assist in decision-making and action planning * Provides standardized district reports, including Eduphoria to campus administration, Academic Coaches and classroom teachers * Collaborate with other departments in order to ensure the successful implementation of the state assessment program for specialized student groups (e.g. EL, SPED, etc.) that may require accommodations, modifications, etc * Maintain processes for state and federal testing irregularity and incident reporting that include investigations as warranted and/or directed by district, state or federal officials * Provide resources and materials to support campus/district staff in accomplishing student assessment goals, including the quality tools, charts, surveys quantitative/qualitative analysis and research-based solutions for reports * Plan and provide staff development for teachers, administrators, and staff on requirements of the state assessment program and the state and federal accountability programs * Disseminate information regarding current requirements of the state assessment program including test administration, security, and confidentiality * Disseminate information regarding current requirements of the state and federal accountability programs * Assist in communicating information to parent and community members about local and state assessments and state and federal accountability. Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly * Keep informed of and comply with federal, state, district, and school regulations and policies * Monitor all campuses during the administration of state assessments * Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required * Other duties as assigned
