We’re working with an early-stage, venture-backed startup building next-generation AI tools that automatically optimize and generate high-performance code. Their mission is to help developers write faster, cleaner, and more efficient software through cutting-edge advancements in machine learning and large language models.

As an AI Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and developing core systems that power their code generation engine. You’ll work on fine-tuning LLMs, building custom training pipelines, and developing intelligent agents that understand, refactor, and generate code across large codebases.

What You’ll Do:

• Fine-tune large language models for code generation and optimization
• Design AI systems that can understand, interpret, and refactor large-scale Python codebases
• Build robust evaluation pipelines to benchmark code performance and correctness
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to bring features from research to production
• Stay on top of the latest research in code generation, software reasoning, and LLMs

What they’re Looking For:

• Strong background in machine learning, deep learning, or NLP
• Proficiency in Python and experience working with code-related AI models (e.g. Codex, CodeLlama)
• Experience with tools like LangChain, HuggingFace, PyTorch, or similar frameworks
• Passion for building tools that improve developer productivity
• Prior experience with program synthesis or developer tools is a plus
