Position Summary: Manages the daily activities of assigned employees to ensure timely and effective sales, deliveries, and service to all assigned accounts.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
Strives to achieve monthly volume sales quotas and market share in assigned district by developing a well-trained, highly motivated sales force to reach monthly/annual sales objectives.
Trains, directs, counsels and assists assigned employees to ensure effectiveness in sales, marketing and on premise merchandising efforts. Evaluates progress of assigned employees and makes recommendations for improvements in gaining draft taps, package distribution and on premise sales methods.
Supports Sales Service Managers (SSMs) in loading of trucks with proper product/package to minimize load return.
Maintains and strives to improve customer relations and service by completing all required Trade Call Frequency calls and immediately addressing customer service issues and sales opportunities.
Follows and enforces Anheuser Busch equity agreement and other supplier contract Code Date policies.
Follows and enforces corporate On Premise Sales and On Premise Merchandising Standards guidelines to ensure the merchandising of all corporate products including restocking to avoid out-of-stock, installing, placing and providing P.O.S. and pricing product as allowed by retailers.
Provides effective communication with all Sales personnel to ensure closure of sales, maintaining good customer relations and a decisive competitive edge in order to maximize sales goals.
Ensures efficient route sequencing.
Develops a schedule and ensures execution of regular trade and night call activity in assigned accounts.
Participates in special events: e.g., Rodeo, Ethnic events, Brewery events, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Three (3) years directly related sales and marketing experience required.
Prior grocery store and/or consumer products experience a strong plus.
One (1) year of effective management and motivation leadership experience, preferably in sales and marketing industry.
Able to obtain and maintain Class A-CDL.
Must have acceptable motor vehicle record as per company standards.
Intermediate computer knowledge in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point. Margin Minder and Mobility knowledge preferred.
Must be able to push at least 300 lbs dolly loaded and move 161 lbs kegs.
Must handle alcohol and work within T.A.B.C Guidelines.
Must be able to push 300 lbs dolly load and move 161 lbs kegs.
Must be able to operate a forklift and a pallet jack.
Frequent driving distances between 0-75 miles in one sitting.
Frequent climbing, pushing, pulling and maneuvering dolly, hand truck, bay roll up doors, straps, curb ramps, truck doors, boxes, cases, kegs, truck gear shift.
Must be able to pass DOT physical and drug screen
