About The Role
As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth for the Yummiez brand across a specific territory, managing key accounts, leading a sales team and ensuring strong market execution. You will play a critical role in achieving sales targets, expanding distribution networks and ensuring business hygiene standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive strategic business development to expand opportunities in a specific territory across the retail channel for the Yummiez brand
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas of approximately ₹ 11-12 Crores and above for the Karnataka territory
- Manage key accounts and foster strong, long-term partnerships
- Ensure business hygiene management, including inventory control, commercial management and maintaining stock freshness in the market
- Implement sales strategies and maintain adherence to sales IT norms, including sales automation tools (Bizom/SAP)
- Track and analyse sales performance, customer behaviour, and market trends using data analytics; share insights with leadership to optimise strategies and identify growth opportunities
- Oversee asset management, particularly for freezers, ensuring optimal utilisation and maintenance
- Project and monitor expected sales volumes monthly, maintaining commercial discipline for timely collections
- Achieve volume and value targets while driving RTM (Route-to-Market) efficiencies and improving overall sales productivity
- Expand and manage distribution networks by strengthening current distributors and appointing new partners
- Enhance the customer database through efficient service and partner expansion
- Inspire and lead a sales team across the territory
- Develop team skills and knowledge through regular training and tailored learning programs
Who are we looking for?
Education
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in sales, preferably in Fresh/Frozen categories
- At least 3 years of experience leading and managing sales teams
Skills
- Strategic thinking and business development expertise
- Strong relationship management and key account handling skills
- Proficiency in sales automation tools (Bizom/SAP) and data-driven decision-making
- Excellent leadership, team development, and communication skills
- Strong commercial and inventory management capabilities
